I am the Chief Academic Officer at East Boston High School. I went to college at the University of Rhode Island.
I thought I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, but, when I was a sophomore, I changed my major to English. I started teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages after earning my Masters in TESOL at Simmons College in Boston. I have had the pleasure of working as a literacy and whole school change coach in schools at every grade level. I have served in school based administrative roles in a variety of Boston Public High Schools and in 2008 earned my Masters in School Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Boston through the Boston Public Schools Principal Fellows program. I am proud to be part of the East Boston High School community since 2008!
I believe all students should be able to choose their own futures. For that reason, I see it as my responsibility to prepare all students for success in college, because every student should have that choice.
